For this project, I chose an architecture publication because of my passion for architecture and landscape. I wanted to design a publication that can truly convey the essence of contemporary architecture. For the cover, I used die cutting as a metaphor for a window to let audience peek into each issue’s content. I used a sans serif font for headers to give the publication a contemporary feeling, and serif font for the body text to represent the exquisiteness of architecture. The layout was inspired by architectural structure. I applied basic graphic elements, such as simple shapes and color overlays to the images in order to enhance the architecture design itself.
